Orange:
There are various shades of orange in Pomeranians. From a very light orange to a deep rich
shade. Orange Poms have black eyeliner, black lipliner, and a black nose usually.
Orange Sable:
Orange sable consists of an orange undercoat with sable tips.  Often you will see considerable
sable tips on puppies only to have their coats shift as they mature into adults. Sometimes they
will lose all the sable tips sometimes it will actually come in more profusely. Sable tips in a
Pomeranian is a dark charcoal to a black. Hence an orange sable pom would have an orange
undercoat with dark charcoal to black tips. Orange sable poms have black eyeliner, black
lipliner, and a black nose usually.
Orange Chocolate:
Is an exotic color in Pomeranians. It consists of an orange undercoat with chocolate tips. Often
you will see considerable chocolate tips on puppies only to have their coats shift as they
mature into adults. Sometimes they will lose all the chocolate tips. Sometimes it will actually
come in more profusely. Chocolate tips in a Pomeranian is a rich chocolate brown color.
Orange Chocolate Poms have chocolate eyeliner, chocolate lipliner, and a chocolate nose
usually. Min Min is an orange chocolate Pomeranian. When she was a puppy she had chocolate
tips on her coat... She has chocolate eyeliner, lips, and a shaded chocolate nose. The rich hues
in her coat are due to the orange and chocolate blended together... She is my Beautiful Baby
Girl...

Cream:
There are various shades of cream. Some so pale as to be almost white, to a dark creamy color
almost to a peach.

Cream Sable:
Cream sable consists of a cream undercoat with sable tips. This coat can shift dramatically as a
Pom matures. Case in point. Patty was heavily sabled as a puppy. Cream Sable Poms generally
have black eyeliner, lipliner and a black nose.

Cream Chocolate:
Exotic
similar in markings to the cream sable, except the tipping is chocolate rather than a dark charcoal
or black. The eyeliner, lipliner, and nose are generally chocolate.

Cream Blue:
Exotic
Similar in marking to the Cream Sable and Cream Chocolate. Except the tipping is blue... so is
the eyeliner, lipliner, and nose.
Black:
You would think the color black would be self explanatory. However, a solid black Pom can
develop a silver cast on it's back legs.  I've also seen them develop a chocolate sheen to their
coat as they mature. Can you see this when they are puppies? No you can not. Both
developments are absolutely beautiful. Simply enjoy the beauty of your Pomeranian. Often you
will see black Poms with white boots, and or a white blaze up their chest. Sometimes an
adorable white chin. These are not parti Poms. They are black Poms with white markings. As
black Poms age you will see the graying (just like in humans) come in around their muzzle first.
Then it will spread back across their face; and show up on their front paws. Similar to how
shows up on humans around their face and works it's way back. This happens with all Poms as
they grow into old age.  It is just more visible with the Beautiful Black Pomeranians, because of
the color contrast.
Blue:
Exotic
Blue is a dilute black, and can be very difficult to see.  A dark  blue Pom puppy by itself will
appear to be black. However if you put it next to a true black puppy you will see the difference.
It is a subtle color variation.
Chocolate:
Chocolate is a shade of, dare I say it Brown. Like a chocolate lab. That type of coloring. There
are various shades of chocolate; dark, medium, and light. (light chocolate is not
Beaver...confused yet?) A chocolate Pom will have chocolate eyeliner, chocolate lipliner, and a
chocolate nose. There are various eyecolors as well in the Chocolate. Sometimes a dark eye
like the blacks, oranges and so on. Sometimes a hazel to a green color, and sometimes a very
striking amber. A word of warning: you will need to protect your Chocolate Pom's coat as it
will bleach in the sun. That doesn't mean it can't go out and play at the lake, etc. Just be aware
that it sun bleaches. If you want it to maintain it's luxurious shade, tend to your dog's nutrition as
well as conditioning the coat after harsh exposure... you take care of your hair after being in the
lake or ocean to keep it's shine don't you.
Beaver:
Exotic
Beaver is a dilute chocolate. It is often confused with a light chocolate.
